Skrill North side Guiseley needed extra-time to see off Craig Elliott’s Ossett Town in their 3-0 victory in the West Riding County Cup second round tie.
After a stalemate for 108 minutes, Guiseley finally broke the deadlock thanks to Craig Hobson, who converted Ryan Williams’ cross.
Player-assistant manager Danny Boshell then doubled the lead deep into extra-time with a powerful strike. As the game was coming to a close, Hobson scored again with a shot from the edge of the box.
Mark Bower’s side, who have now won three games on the bounce, will play Selby Town in the next round after Ian Dring’s men won 3-2 at Liversedge.
Former Guiseley and Doncaster Rovers striker Jason Price scored twice, with Tom Owen adding the extras.
Brighouse Town will play the winner of Eccleshill United and Farsley AFC following a comfortable 4-1 victory over Wakefield FC.
Daniel Nadiole continued his hot-streak, but Ernest Boafo stole the headlines with a hat-trick. Ferdiand Annor scored a late consolation for Wakefield.
Glasshoughton Welfare’s last hope of silverware ended as Tadcaster Albion won 4-2 in their Toolstation NCEL League Cup second round clash.
James Coupland and Mitch Hamilton both got braces for Tadcaster.
Holders Frickley Athletic survived a scare to beat Shaw Lane Aquaforce 1-0 in their Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup third round match.
Jake Picton scored an 83rd minute winner.
Parkgate and Worksop Parramore are also through to the next round after wins.
Parkgate beat Everest 2-1, whilst Worksop won 3-1 at Stocksbridge Park Steels.
