New Owners take control of Tadcaster Albion

Matthew Gore is the new chairman of Tadcaster Albion after i2i Sports officially became the new owners of the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division side.
For the last month i2i Sports have been carrying out due diligence on the club following a search for investors which began when chairman Rob Northfield resigned a week before the season started.
Northfield cited family commitments as the reason for his departure which was compounded by the exit of treasurer James Hamilton.
The York-based firm have now completed the takeover and Gore along with James Gore and Kent Mayall are the new directors.
Departing treasurer Hamilton said: “I am really looking forward to supporting Tadcaster Albion under the leadership of i2i Sports Ltd.
“I’m confident that the Club is passing into good hands, and that i2i will build on the progress achieved over the last 4 years. I’d like to thank Rob Northfield in particular for his investment and help that made that progress possible.”
Paul Marshall’s team are riding high in the Premier Division and currently top the table.
