Terry Higgins has been appointed as the permanent chairman of AFC Emley.
Mr Higgins was confirmed in the role at an Extraordinary General Meeting held on Thursday night.
Life Member Ian Stevenson was elected as Emley’s new president and he replaces Rob Dixon who stepped down at the end of last season.
Andrew Painten is the new secretary alongside Ian Steele who continues in his role as treasurer. The rest of the committee comprises of Jayne Loveday, Mark Parsons and Nigel Wakefield.
Mr Higgins had been holding the reins as interim chairman since the end of September following the resignation of the incumbent John Whitehead.
Mr Whitehead quit after a turbulent 48 hours which saw began with the sacking of first team manager Darren Hepworth without committee approval.
Hepworth was later reinstated when the decision was reviewed.
The EGM now closes the chapter on a period that the club will want to forget.
