Bradford City have snapped up free-scoring Scarborough Athletic forward Lewis Clarkson.
Clarkson may have only made five starts since joining Rudy Funk’s team, but he scored nine times which saw him attract attention from the likes of Leeds United and Everton.
It is the second blow to Funk after the departure of his assistants Darren France and John Reed last week.
Clarkson has signed an 18-month deal at Valley Parade and Bantams assistant Steve Parkin told BBC Radio Leeds: “He is one for the future. We felt, as a long-term project, he was worth the investment.
“He can become a very dangerous player. He certainly has an eye for goal and that’s why we took him.”
