Glasshoughton Welfare captain Darrell Young is facing a massive five match ban after his red card in the 3-3 draw with Garforth Town.
Young was sent off for violent conduct for pushing Garforth utility player Logan McDaniel and will receive a three-game ban for the dismissal.
Young was also yellow carded at Brighouse Town on Tuesday night which takes his tally to ten cautions for the season and that rules him out for a further two matches.
When the ban comes into effect in two weeks’ time when Athersley Recreation visit Leeds Road on December 7th, Young won’t be back in action until the home game with Bridlington Town on January 11th at the earliest.
Winter postponements are likely to prolong the suspension and Glasshoughton boss Rob Hunter said: “I’ve no complaints over the red card.
“I think the lad made a meal of it, but as soon you raise your hands it’s a red card so I have no arguments with that.
“For the captain of the club, it’s very frustrating that his personal discipline levels are where they are – ten bookings and a sending off. They all can’t be the referee’s fault.
“Daz is going to get a big ban now and during that time he has got to get himself back to full fitness and got to work how he is going to play the rest of the season without any further bans.
“He’s going to be sat in the FA waiting room to get a big, big ban if he’s not careful.”
