Ian Dring has quit as manager of Toolstation NCEL Division One side Selby Town.
Dring has done a magnificent job since taking over 13 months ago. He steered the club away from relegation danger with a great run of form towards the end of last season.
After a difficult start to this season, Selby embarked on an impressive run of wins which saw them become promotion candidates. However, a couple of recent defeats has ruled them out of the running and chairman Ralph Pearse was understood to be considering a budget cut.
Dring had been begging his chairman not to and the Selby boss has now left his post.
