Craig Elliott has yet to decide who will replace Ryan Qualter as captain of Ossett Town.
Qualter left Ossett this week to join Skrill North side Bradford (Park Avenue) and Elliott is “gutted”.
Qualter has been a major part of the Ossett team since arriving from Tadcaster Albion midway through last season.
The move has been described as one that Qualter could not turn down and he leaves Ingfield with the club’s best wishes.
Qualter’s departure is unrelated to a budget cut that Ossett announced on Thursday evening.
Ossett revealed that in agreement with Elliott, the playing budget was to be reduced.
The club cited falling sponsorship revenue and also announced a stadium sponsor raffle which they hope will raise funds.
Tadcaster Albion goalkeeper Leon Wrigglesworth, who was sent off last week at Basford United, has been ruled out for at least five weeks with a shoulder injury.
