Star midfielder Simon Parkes was stretched off in Harrogate Railway’s 3-2 Division One North victory over Clitheroe at Station View.
Parkes, who was back from suspension for the game, was of three Rail players to exit the field because of injury which is a massive blow to manager Billy Miller.
Parkes suffered cartilage damage and he will see a specialist to find out the severity of the injury.
Left-back Lawrence Hunter and centre-half Simon Wood were also forced off with ankle ligaments problems. The pair will be assessed on Wednesday.
The injuries took the shine off a great victory for Railway. Miller’s side hit the post three times early on, but found themselves 1-0 down after a Paul Coote goal.
Nathan Cartman, back from neighbours Town, levelled for Rail close to half-time. Rail then went ahead through the in-form veteran Colin Hunter.
Rob Youhill was fouled in the box and Hunter stepped up to smash home the penalty. Parkes was stretched off on the hour mark which caused a ten minute delay.
But, Rail refused to let it affect them and Hunter popped up with an impressive strike to score his second and Harrogate’s third.
Ross Dent pulled a late consolation back for Clitheroe, but it was too late and Harrogate boss Miller said: “It was a great display. We were very neat in possession and we created loads of chances and deserved the win.”
Basement side Ossett Albion gave Darlington 1883 a huge fright in their 3-2 defeat at Dimple Wells.
Midfielder Darol Lucas put Ossett ahead in the sixth minute and the home side were still leading at half-time.
However, the tide turned three minutes into the second half when Wes Milnes was sent off for the second time this season for tripping David Dowson.
Within a minute, Darlington were level through Alan White’s header. The visitors soon took the lead and Dowson was the scorer.
Ossett remained in the game until the final stages when Nathan Fisher sealed Darlington’s victory. Tyrone Gay scored a last minute header for Ossett.
