Brice Tiani and Ryan Williams have signed for Evo Stik Division One North side Ossett Town.
Former Farsley AFC midfielder Tiani has been playing for Yorkshire Amateur since leaving Goole AFC in October, while winger/centre-forward Williams is dual-signed with Guiseley and Goole.
Ossett manager Craig Elliott has been slowly repairing his squad after a few departures in January and believes the pair fitted the bill.
“They bring an attacking threat,” he said.
“We have lost a lot of flair players over the last few weeks and that’s why I signed Dempsey Smith too.
“We have a solid base as our results are suggesting so we just need to replace some of the attacking threat that we have had and also add some competition for places.
“I’m still looking for a couple more players. I’ve got one or two in mind that I’m hoping to talk to in the next couple of weeks.
“There’s no major panic though.”
Town were due to host Salford City today, but heavy rain caused the Ingfield pitch to be unplayable.
Ossett have an outside chance of reaching the play-offs and Elliott had hoped to be able close further in on the top five.
“I was disappointed (about the postponement) because Lancaster and Ramsbottom were playing each other along with Farsley and Bamber Bridge so it was a chance to catch up with the teams above us,” he said.
“Obviously the conditions were against us though.”
Last time out, Ossett enjoyed a shock 2-0 win at title favourites Curzon Ashton. The victory completed an impressive double over the Tameside side and Elliott spoke of his delight about the match that took place seven days ago.
“Funnily enough we have beat them three times in a row,” he said.
“We’re the only team to beat them this year which we have done home and away and then we also beat them at the back end of last season.
“We’re on a good run against Curzon who are widely known as one of the best teams in our league. I was delighted last week and it was deserved too.
“Sometimes you fluke these results and get a bit of luck, but the lads stuck to the game-plan which was to try and frustrate them and we deserved the three points.
“It is right up there with some of the best results of the season because we didn’t have Richard Patterson who was suspended and injuries to Shaquille Clarke-Adams and Dempsey Smith.
“It was a terrific result and the 13 lads we did have are good players so I was confident we could go there and get something.”
