Farsley AFC have announced trial dates for their two under 19s academy teams.
The first set of trials will be held on Friday 21st February at Throstle Nest, the home of Farsley between 10.30am and 1.30pm.
Players are asked to bring training kit and towel, along with trainers, boots and refreshments.
The day will consist of a presentation on the Academy and College set up, including course information, a question and answer session, trial matches on the first team pitch and a chance for further questions or one to ones with the coaches.
The team is run in conjunction with Leeds City College and candidates can study for a variety courses including A Levels and Football Coaching, alongside playing for the Academy team.
Academy manager Mark Jackson, the former Leeds United defender, said: “If you are a current year 11 student or 16-19 years old and interested in combining full time training whilst studying full time at Leeds City College, the Farsley Academy may be the choice for you.
“The whole selection process consists of two trials, at which point the player will be informed whether or not they were successful .
“There will also be the Leeds City College sports showcase event in which all potential players will need to attend. This will be held at the Park Lane campus on the evening of Tuesday 4th March, between the two trial dates.
“We are looking to develop the Academy even further next season and build on our first season in the Conference Youth Alliance . We will also have a new link which will give players the option to play and study in America after their two year course with us.
“Places will be sort after for next season so get in touch early to give yourself the best possible chance.”
