Scarborough Athletic finally leaped into the Evo Stik Division One South play-offs zone with a narrow 1-0 over Bedworth United.
Jimmy Beadle got the goal when he pounced on the loose ball in the penalty area to secure the Seadogs a vital victory – one that moves them above Newcastle Town and Sutton Coldfield.
Scarborough now occupy the last play-offs place with nine games to go.
In Division One North, Farsley AFC held fellow promotion-chasers Warrington Town to a goal-less draw.
In a game that neither side could afford to lose, Farsley came the closest to scoring when midfielder Ross Daly hit the crossbar with a header in the second half.
James Coupland rescued a crucial point for Wakefield FC with a last minute equaliser in the 2-2 draw at Mossley.
Richard Bennett put Mossley ahead before sensational goal specialist Rob Bordman equalised with a spectacular 30-yard strike. Bennett then scored from the penalty spot for Mossley.
But their position was put in doubt when Doug O’Kane was sent off and Coupland made them pay with a close range finish.
Wakefield remain on the heels of Radcliffe Borough as Steven Jeff’s injury-time spot kick earned Ossett Town a 1-1 draw.
Danny Lafferty had given Radcliffe an early lead and Ossett looked to have run out of time as the final few minutes approached.
However, a penalty was awarded and Jeff kept his cool to score.
Ossett Albion drew 0-0 with Northwich Victoria and Harrogate Railway put in a brave performance, but were beaten 1-0 at title favourites Curzon Ashton.
In the Premier Division, goals from Fernando Moke, Gavin Allott and an own goal earned Frickley Athletic a 3-2 win at Droylsden.
Stocksbridge Park Steels lost 4-1 to FC United of Manchester.
