Goole say sorry for Scarborough admission row

Goole have apologised for increasing the admission prices for the Scarborough Athletic match on Boxing Day.
Scarborough fans were left angry after it was alleged that they were charged more than other spectators for the derby match which Rudy Funk’s men won 3-1.
In a statement, Goole said: “The decision to raise the admission price for the game, was taken based on our chairman, Mr Baron Bloom receiving poor advice, it was wrong, it’s something we regret doing and for that, we would like to sincerely apologise.
“Our clubs have always enjoyed a good relationship, we would like that good relationship to continue and in an effort to put things right, we would like to make the following gesture.
“Should we find ourselves in the same league again next season, we would like to make the admission price for the game £5 for all supporters, with all supporters receiving a complementary pint voucher from our bar.
“We hope this gesture goes some way to repairing the damage caused.
“On a separate note, we were accused of raising our programme prices for the game, this was not the case, we actually increased the price of our programme from 2nd November 2013, seven weeks before the game.
“Once again, to everyone associated with Scarborough Athletic, we sincerely apologise.”
