Brighouse Town are one win away from a historic promotion to the Evo Stik Division One North.
After a straightforward 4-0 victory over struggling Lincoln Moorlands Railway in midweek, three more points against Retford United on Saturday will secure the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division title.
A draw may even be enough if the points are shared between Tadcaster Albion and Barton Town Old Boys at Ings Lane.
Promotion will complete a remarkable rise by the Calderdale-based side. Six years ago they were playing in the West Riding County Amateur League and next year it is likely they will be facing famous names of Non-League football like Northwich Victoria.
Brighouse were never going to have trouble disposing of Lincoln on Tuesday night. Paul Quinn’s men had thrashed them 9-0 two weeks beforehand so the only surprise was that it was by only four this time.
Tom Matthews broke the deadlock in the 13th minute and Ernest Boafo, James Hurtley and Joe Jagger sealed the straightforward.
Elsewhere, Nostell Miners Welfare have probably done enough to secure safety after their 2-0 victory over Thackley.
Matthew Johnson scored both goals to move Nostell onto 22 points – five above Winterton Rangers, who have won just once in the league since beating Nostell in the first week of October.
Barton Town remained in the title race and fight for second place by coming from behind to win 2-1 against Bridlington Town – Gareth Barlow and Scott Phillips were on the score-sheet.
In Division One, Worsbrough Bridge beat Louth Town 2-0, Rossington Main won 2-1 at Dronfield Town and Eccleshill United cruised to a 4-0 success over Selby Town.
Knaresborough Town have reached the League Cup final after winning 1-0 at Long Eaton United.
George Eustance scored after just six minutes and Knaresborough held on to book their final place with either Heanor Town or Eccleshill United.
On Monday night, Farsley AFC gave their Division One North play-offs a huge shot in the arm by winning 2-1 at champions Curzon Ashton for the first time in their reformed history.
Ross Daly and Adam Priestley got the goals.
