Evo Stik Division One North side Farsley AFC have secured the signature of Eccleshill United hotshot Marcus Edwards.
Edwards was arguably the most wanted striker in Yorkshire this summer after scoring 45 goals for the Bradford-based side in the club’s best season for years.
It was Edwards who scored the penalty that won the West Riding County Cup for Eccleshill in the 1-0 victory over Harrogate Town at Valley Parade – a triumph that is regarded as one of the greatest County Cup final moments in decades.
Edwards has also played for Ossett Town and Glasshoughton Welfare previously.
Farsley have also signed Lewis Morgan from Thackley and retained the services of strikers Aiden Savory and Adam Priestley along with goalkeepers Tom Morgan and Tom Taylor.
