Long-serving Farsley AFC goalkeeper Tom Morgan has joined Bradford (Park Avenue).
Morgan was almost part of the furniture and fittings at Throstle Nest due to his two long stints with the club.
The stopper was there from the start of the Lee Sinnott revolution which began in 2003 and he won three promotions in four years as Farsley rocketed up the Football Pyramid from the old Division One of the Northern Premier League and into the National Conference.
Morgan played for Farsley in Non League’s top tier before leaving in March 2008 and going onto play for Harrogate Railway, Garforth Town, Guiseley and also Park Avenue.
He returned in 2010 to play a lead role in the reformed Farsley’s NCEL Premier Division title-winning campaign and remained the number one goalkeeper at the club until yesterday.
Morgan has chosen to join Avenue in the Conference North and the move paves the way for his deputy Tom Taylor to earn the ‘keeper’s jersey for the 2014-15 season during pre-season.
