Former Scarborough Athletic captain Tony Hackworth is one of 16 players definitely lining up for Pickering Town in August.
Hackworth, as player-assistant manager, played the majority of last season at Pickering and is one of the first to commit for 2014-15.
Pickering boss Mitch Cook has kept the majority of his squad of last season, but has added full-back Frank Belt from Bridlington, Frickley Athletic goalkeeper Tom Woodhead and York City youngster Niall Tilsley.
Those staying are Nathan Cook, Robbie Hawkes, Joe Danby, Ged Dalton, Callum Myers, Lewis Taylor, Ryan Woodhead, Lloyd Henderson, Chris Batchelor, Daniel Andrew and Jamie Patterson.
The club’s record goal-scorer Liam Salt is also returning.
Despite early season upheaval caused by the controversial sacking of Jimmy Reid, Cook was able to lead Pickering to a decent seventh-place finish in the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division.
Cook will hoping to mount a promotion challenge this time around.
