Ossett Town chief John Reed has added “strong” centre-half Danny Stimpson to his squad.
Former Harrogate Town player Stimpson is seen as the ideal replacement for Shaun Connor who has moved back to Manchester.
Stimpson has also played for Worksop Town, Frickley Athletic and Droylsden and Reed told the club’s official website: “Danny will be a huge player for us this season.
“I cannot say how delighted I am to get him. He is big and strong but also a very quick lad too.
“Shaun Connor has moved on this summer as he has moved back to Manchester so getting Danny in will be an excellent replacement and I have no doubt he will form an excellent partnership with Nick Wood.”
Midfielder Raul Fletcher and forward Josh Whiteley have also signed Evo Stik Division One North forms.
