Bradford City have decided to cancel their pre-season friendly at Farsley AFC tomorrow night and instead will play at Ossett Town.
A Bradford youth team were scheduled to play Ossett anyway, but now five or six first team players will appear at Ingfield.
Bradford manager Phil Parkinson has cited an “unfit pitch” as the reason why they have cancelled their visit to Throstle Nest. A statement from Farsley is expected later.
Volunteers at Farsley had put a lot of time into preparing for the match. Volunteers had spent all Saturday – missing the trip to Glasshougton – to ensure the ground was ready.
The programme editors had spent hours producing a bumper edition.
It is now Evo Stik Division One North side Ossett who are preparing for a large crowd for what is the first home game since the social club refurbishment.
Admission is £5 for adults and £2-50 for concessions.
