Ossett Albion’s player-chairman Dominic Riordan starred as his club won 3-1 at West Yorkshire League Premier Division side Shelley.
Riordan was recently appointed as Evo Stik Division One Nortth Albion’s chairman, despite being aged just 27, after three playing stints at Dimple Wells.
Riordan has struggled with injury in the last few years so he has decided to look at off-the-field activities.
Riordan led his club out at Ash Berry’s Shelley, who recently drew with FC United of Manchester, and Richard Tracey’s side earned their first win of their pre-season campaign.
Nicky Matthews, who played at Thackley and Farsley AFC last season, got two goals and Ryan Harrison was on the score-sheet again with a solitary strike.
Ossett play away at Cleethorpes Town on Saturday.
