Gap Connah’s Quay successfully completed a Yorkshire double by winning 2-1 at Ossett Albion yesterday.
The Welsh Premier League side won at Tadcaster Albion on Friday night and they followed it up with victory at Evo Stik Division One North side Ossett.
Ossett struggled to trouble Quay goalkeeper Terry McCormick before the opening goal at Dimple Wells.
New Ossett goalkeeper Jamie Green, who played for Shaw Lane Aquaforce last season, was left stranded after after being lobbed on the hour mark.
Quay then doubled their lead thanks to a mistake from Green. The stopper came racing out to challenge the visiting forward, but missed the ball which was rolled into the net.
Experienced striker David Brown scored a consolation goal for Albion late-on when he rounded the Quay goalkeeper.
