Kingsley Wetherald has left Pontefract Collieries and joined Glasshoughton Welfare ahead of tomorrow’s FA Vase trip to Runcorn Town.
Wetherald had an exceptional record at Collieries having scored 27 times in 62 appearances, but, the striker has found opportunities limited this season.
The former York City youth team striker returns to the club he played for during the 2012-13 season under Graham Hodder and briefly Rob Hunter.
His departure adds to Pontefract’s player woes ahead of Sunday’s FA Vase clash with Worsbrough Bridge.
