Handsworth Parramore 0-3 Tadcaster Albion (Toolstation NCEL Premier Division)
Tadcaster Albion won the game of the day with Josh Greening grabbing a hat-trick in the last 18 minutes to lead his side to victory against previously unbeaten and ten man Handsworth.
After a cagey start, the game sprang into life with Handsworth striker Sam Smith missing an open goal.
Handsworth were dealt a blow early on in the second half when James Cotterill was sent off for a second bookable offence.
But, it was not until the last 18 minutes that the tide turned in Taddy’s favour.
Paddy Miller’s superb cross was met by Greening, who out jumped his marker to break the deadlock.
George Bissett then supplied the assist for the second goal – his cross was finished by Greening from close range.
In the last five minutes, Calum Ward was brought down and a penalty was awarded. Greening’s attempt was saved, but tucked the rebound away.
Tadcaster manager Paul Marshall said: “It pretty much went to plan
“We were a bit slow out of the blocks in the first half and we didn’t pass it as well as we should have done.
“There was lots of space down the wings and we never got it out to Josh and Tom Chamberlain.
“We had a chat at half-time and told them that we needed to move it quicker and it get out to the wings and let the pace of both wingers cause them a few problems.
“I said at half-time that they hadn’t threatened so much apart from when the kid missed the open goal.
“After that, defensively the back four were outstanding.
“I think the sending-off helped change the game, but it wasn’t the factor.
“The factor was that they were getting tired and we were getting stronger.”
