Former Eccleshill chief Lee Duxbury is the new head coach of Thackley.
Duxbury has won the position – 24 hours after interim head coach Carl Priestley led Thackley to a crucial 2-1 win over fellow strugglers Nostell Miners Welfare.
The former Bradford City midfielder was in charge of Eccleshill for one season and led them to a remarkable West Riding County Cup final victory over Conference North giants Harrrogate Town in April at Valley Parade.
The triumph is arguably the greatest West Riding County Cup successes in recent memory.
He also guided them to the Toolstation NCEL League Cup final at the same venue where they lost on penalties to Knaresborough Town.
Priestley will stay on as assistant head coach at Thackley and a statement said: Lee comes to the club with an outstanding background in player, coaching and development.
“With this in mind the club wanted to act quickly in making this appointment.
“We are also really pleased that the interim Head Coach – Carl Priestley will stay on as Lee’s assistant.
“We are looking forward to the success and achievement we believe this partnership will bring.”
