Farsley AFC manager Neil Parsley has been delighted with his side’s start to the season

Neil Parsley has been delighted with the start Farsley AFC have made in the Evo Stik Division One North.
Farsley host Mossley tomorrow at Throstle Nest, sitting in third place in the table after six games.
After losing their opening fixture at Lancaster City, Farsley have bounced by going unbeaten since alongside their two FA Cup wins.
Farsley also drew 1-1 at Darlington 1883 and Parsley said: “To win six out of eight games is a great start.
“It has given us a platform to build on.
“The aim is to win as many games as we can and to improve on last season.
“Last season we got 27 more points than what we got the season before. If we can make inroads on that in terms of adding to that, we’ll be knocking on the door again.
On Mossley, he added: “Mossley are a good side and I went to Bamber Bridge to watch them.
“They gave Bamber Bridge a really good games and if they didn’t deserve to win, they certainly deserved a point which they didn’t get.
“We have a tough game tomorrow.”

Lewis Nightingale has been in excellent form for Farsley AFC

One player facing his old club tomorrow is Lewis Nightingale, who has been one of Farsley’s stars of the opening games.
Nightingale, who returned to the club this summer after previously featuring in the NCEL title-winning season in 2010, has impressed along with goalkeeper Tom Taylor.
Parsley added: “I think Lewis’ progress is down to experience.
“He’s been away and played games at this level. He was a player we highlighted that we wanted to fit into the patten of play that we try to play.
“He has fitted in really well.
“He’s been away playing football after being with us in the NCEL and you can say the same for Tom Taylor.
“Lewis has been providing assists and scoring goals and Tom has been keeping clean sheets so they have both done really well.
“They have picked experience by dropping down a level or playing week-in-week-out.
“Lewis had been travelling over to Manchester to play for Mossley which shows the desire he has to play at this level.”
