Russ Eagle was “relieved of his duties” at Handsworth Parramore earlier today – hours before their 4-0 win over Garforth Town.
Club captain James Cotterill took charge of the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division victory which saw Lee Whittington score twice and Sam Smith and Vill Powell add the extras.
Eagle had been in charge of Parramore since the start of last season and leaves them in fifth spot.
A Handsworth statement said: “Handsworth Parramore Fc can today confirm that 1st team Manager Russ Eagle has this morning been relieved of his duties as 1st Team Manager.
“Club Captain James Cotterill has been put in Caretaker charge of the Ambers ahead of todays game at home to Garforth Town with Leon Wainman assisting.
“The club would like to place on record their thanks to Russ and his family for their hard work and support during the last 18 months, and wish Russ all the very best for the future.”
