Dave Ricardo believes Selby Town’s West Riding County Cup second round tie with giants Guiseley is the perfect draw for his men.
The Toolstation NCEL Division One side have had some excellent results in the cup competitions this season.
Selby have got through two rounds of the FA Vase and are into the third round of the League Cup.
Selby will host a Guiseley team, who were beaten 3-0 at Conference side Grimsby Town on Saturday, and Ricardo told Non League Yorkshire: “I’m looking forward and it will be interesting to see what team they bring.
“I know Wayne Brooksby because he’s from my area so it will be good to test ourselves against him.
“I think we play better against the better sides because they give us half a yard more to pass the ball.
“I’m sure they will have a few things to juggle as well, but its at home so I’m hopeful we will give it a good shot.
“I don’t think there is a bad draw.
“These are types of games that you love to play in because you can test yourself against the big opponents.
“You should want to play in any game, but this type of games is what you want to play in.
“I used to love playing in games like these because you could mark up or square up to players who are on a lot more money than you are and you could test yourself.
“I hope it is a good experience for my players and I want them to take the experience from the recent cup games into the Guiseley game.”
The referee is Mick Connell from Castleford.
