Ben Gathercole’s move to Shaw Lane Aquaforce is set to be finally confirmed tomorrow.
Worksop Town goalkeeper Gathercole agreed his deal to move to Shaw Lane straight after his new club’s brilliant 4-1 win over Runcorn Linnets in the FA Vase last week.
However, the paperwork has yet to have been completed – something that is expected to be sorted tomorrow morning.
Stocksbridge Park Steels had three new faces in their side that drew 1-1 with Coalville Town yesterday.
Powerful centre-half Brandon Cardwell has signed for the Steels from Handsworth Parramore.
Olly Steeple arrived from Nostell Miners Welfare and Chris Hilton has also been reunited with Danny Barlow.
Barlow, who had been playing abroad since March, briefly played for Hilton at Worsbrough last season after a long spell with Shaw Lane Aquaforce.
One new recruit helped AFC Emley beat Shirebrook Town.
Kurtis Noble arrived from the Welfare Ground from Ossett Albion and played a key role in the win.
Emley manager Darren Hepworth said: “He brings his pace, trickery and we saw the other side of his game today because he worked very hard for the team.
“He’s a live wire and a very creative player. Because he was at Ossett, he’s played at a very good level.
“I’ve been trying to get him here for two years so it is quite nice to finally get him here.”
