Michael Aspin has gone back to Throstle Nest and signed for Farsley AFC.

Aspin returns the ground he played at during the final throes of the 2008-09 season for Farsley Celtic.

Aspin joins from Ashton United to replace Aaron Hardy, who has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a hip injury.

The right-back arrived from Northwich Victoria in 2009 and played a key role as Neil Parsley and Mark Jackson saved the club from relegation from the Conference North.

Aspin did later go back to Northwich and was a key player in their famous FA Cup First Round win over Phil Parkinson’s Charlton Athletic – the Vics had fellow ex-Celt Curtis Aspden in goal.

Aspin has also played in Thailand in the last few years.

He made his comeback for Farsley during the 4-0 win over Ossett Albion on Saturday.
