All the pressure is on Marske – Anderson

Dave Anderson’s Barton Town Old Boys have been struck down with a sickness ahead of the FA Vase second round tie at Marske

Dave Anderson claims all the pressure is on Northern League pace-setters Marske ahead of Barton Town Old Boys’ big FA Vase clash.
Barton will visit Marske for the second round tie, which will be played at Stokesley due to floodlight issues at Marske.
Barton have been hit by numerous problems during the past week, including a sickness bug which struck down members of the team and management staff.
Anderson said: “This week has been far from ideal preparation.
“This was highlighted with a depleted squad was sent to Pickering for the midweek cup game and the squad training put back 24 hours to tonight (Friday) to hopefully get some more bodies back in time for the Marske game.
“Marske start firm favourites to win the game and go far in the competition, but whatever the side we get out we are not going to make the numbers up.
“We have nothing to lose and the pressure is all on Marske  so we will go with no fear.
“They do score a lot of goals but do also concede a few as well.
“The last round round was a similar situation when we travelled to Bootle and beat them 5-2 so the lads should be very confident going in tomorrow’s game.
“It is 11 v 11 come Saturday 3pm a one off game for 90 minutes and if we are right we can cause them a lot of problems.”
