Tony Hackworth has been made the permanent new manger of Toolstation NCEL Premier Division Pickering Town.
Hackworth beat off strong competition to land his first number one managerial post after a successful period as caretaker boss since the departure of Mitch Cook.
The former Leeds United and Scarborough Athletic striker, who was Cook’s assistant, won two and lost the third on penalties last night to Scarborough in the North Riding Senior Cup.
Hackworth takes charge of Pickering for the first time as the permanent chief on Saturday at Albion Sports.
