Martin Thacker has been appointed as the new manager of Hall Road Rangers – for the fourth time.

Thacker replaces Lee Hastings, who left the club last week.

Thacker was Hall Road manager during the 2009-10 and 2010-11 campaigns along with two separate spells in 2011-12.

Thacker, who during his playing days was midfielder and was best known for his time at Bridlington Town, will officially take charge at Penistone Church on Saturday.

He will be watching on from the stands when Jason Cox holds the fort for the away game at Bottesford Town on Wednesday night.

Chairman Darren Sunley said: “We’re extremely pleased to have Martin on-board and know he will be a great asset to the club.

“He’s extremely dedicated and passionate about Hall Road Rangers and I’m very much looking forward to working with him.”
