John Cooper has retired as chairman of Worsbrough Bridge and has took up the post of club president.
Mr Cooper has been a loyal servant to Bridge for many years, occupying a number of roles including groundsman and the task of running the bar with his wife Christine.
Worsbrough are now looking for someone to fill the vacant role on the back of their recent plea for help.
Mr Cooper told Worsbrough’s official website: “Its time for someone with fresh ideas to come in and take the club forward now.
“I’m not young any more and cant keep up with everything I’ve been doing.”
