Curtis Woodhouse has left Goole by mutual consent – a month after chairman Baron Bloom quit the club.
Former Birmingham City midfielder Woodhouse’s exit was announced after a meeting with the club’s committee to discuss the future.
Mr Bloom’s departure has led to Goole needing to cut their cloth accordingly and Jordan Thewlis and Andy Gascoigne are two of the most notable departures.
Just before Christmas, Woodhouse told national radio station Talksport that was he struggling to field eleven players for their Boxing Day clash with Brigg Town.
Woodhouse had been in charge at Goole for just under a year.
A statement said: ”Both the club and Curtis agreed amicably to part company, which followed lengthy discussions based on the financial health of the club and the need to reduce the wage bill which would impact on team selections.
“Recent weeks have been very difficult for the club following the resignation of our former chairman and there is a need to ensure the club can continue to operate.
“The club wishes to place on record its sincere thanks to Curtis for his service and dedication and we all wish him well for the future.”
A further statement is expected ahead of their home Evo Stik Division One South game with Sutton Coldfield Town on Saturday.
