Ryan Hindley isn’t even looking at the bottom two as he continues to lead Hallam’s resurgence.

Hindley has engineered a stunning revival of Hallam since October when he replaced Steve Toyne.

Toyne had left the club in serious trouble at the bottom of the Toolstation NCEL Division One table with no points after ten games.

Under Hindley, Hallam, unbeaten in four, have earned 20 points and currently fifth from bottom.

Hindley told Non League Yorkshire: “I’m not even looking at the bottom two, I’m looking at where we can finish.

“I’m not being big-headed about our abilities, I firmly believe we can beat anybody.

“I’d like to take it each game at a time, but I don’t envisage being lower than about 15th.

“You set yourself a target and if we said we’d finish 12th or bang on mid table, I’d be over the moon.

“But, there is a lot of football to be played.

“We have a bench of five when we have two or three injured and three away so we are quite fortunate.

“I might lose players because you can’t keep everyone happy, but we have a good squad.

“I’m sure Hemsworth, Clipstone and Daz (Hepworth) at Emley would say the same that you have to replace quality with quality, not a good player for a body.

“Luckily at the minute, we are fairly strong in all positions so I expect us to kick on.

“I could only judge us on what I see and Hemsworth are the best attacking side in the league and we went and matched them.”

Hallam nearly added Hemsworth to their growing list of scalps last week in the 3-3 draw.

Hallam are due to host Knaresborough Town tomorrow and Hindley added: “I think we will start picking teams off.

“We have had a really hard couple of weeks with a couple of games getting called off.

“I can honestly say that I don’t fear anybody in this league.

“I’ve played against most of them or managed against most of them so I have absolutely no fear.

“I still think now with this month, I’d like to stay unbeaten in January.

“I think we are more than capable of it.”
