Tadcaster Albion’s hopes of landing a historic quadruple are firmly intact after a 6-1 victory in the Toolstation NCE League fourth round tie at Retford United.

Premier Division leaders Tadcaster recovered from a bad start as they conceded inside 60 seconds with Joe Coxon scoring from a blocked shot.

Tadcaster responded in the 21st minute with Danny Gray equalising with a curling effort.

David Brown supplied the assist for Tad to go in front – Vincent Dhesi the goal-scorer.

The visitors effectively put troubled Retford out of the game close to half-time when Paddy Miller got their third goal.

Liam Ormsby surprisingly missed a penalty before Tadcaster ran riot late-on.

Carl Stewart got two in the closing stages with Calum Ward scoring in between those strikes.
