One game survives cold blast

Nostell’s Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup tie with Rossington was called off

Just one game has survived the freezing temperatures tonight.

Garforth Town’s trip to Harrogate Town in the West Riding County Cup semi-final will go ahead after a referee gave the pitch the thumbs up at 5pm.

Nostell did not have similar luck as their playing surface was deemed frozen so they will have to try to finish their Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup tie with Rossington Main at the third attempt next week.

In the Toolstation NCEL Division One, all three games involving Yorkshire sides were postponed.

Shirebrook’s home game with AFC Mansfield is on and the former will knock AFC Emley off-the-top if they win.

The low temperatures have also forced cancellations of two friendly fixtures.

Farsley’s game with HT Sports fell and so did Parkgate’s trip to Handsworth Parramore.
