Yorkshire Amateur will just continue to enjoy the ride, according to head coach Rick Addy.

The Ammers have forced themselves into the Toolstation NCEL Division One promotion race after a superb season at Bracken Edge.

Addy says the club, whose new bar has opened, are in a great position, but they are not getting carried away.

“We have talked about being in the mix, but it is no more than being in the mix,” he said.

“We can definitely affect who goes up because we have to play everyone around us.

“This season has been a good base for next year, I’ve said that before.

“If we go that would be a huge bonus, but who knows. We’ll be in and amongst them until the end.

“Whatever happens we’ll back on the season with a lot of pride because we’re building next year and players already wanting to come here.”
