North Ferriby have a chance to reach the FA Trophy semi-final for the first time in their history tomorrow.
The Villagers will host Vanarama South side Ebbsfleet United at the Eon Visual Media Stadium to go within two games of reaching the Wembley final.
Billy Heath’s Ferriby are hoping to make amends for last year’s disappointment when they lost to eventual finalists Gosport at the quarter-finals stage.
North Ferriby midfielder Liam King said: “It’s a great feeling to still be in the cup at this stage knowing that you are a couple of games away from playing at Wembley.
“All the squad are ready go for Saturday’s game, there are a lot of lads including myself that were at this stage in the competition last season and we didn’t take our chance so we want to put it right this year.”
Ferriby’s top goalscorer Tom Denton added “It’s a great prize at the end of it, of course me and the boys have been thinking about it (Wembley) but there’s three big games until then.”
Ferriby have been to Wembley once before. Chairman Les Hare has previously described the trip to the FA Vase Final in 1997 as one of the proudest days of his life – despite the 3-0 defeat to Whitby Town.
The Villagers have a fully fit squad for Saturday barring Nathan Jarman and Danny Emerton, who have just returned from injury.
Curtis Bateson is ineligible as he has already played in the competition for Gainsborough Trinity.
