Popular striker Lee Whittington is leaving Handsworth Parramore with the club’s best wishes.
Whittington has been a loyal servant to Parramore since their arrival in the Northern Counties East League a few years ago and then when they merged with Handsworth last summer.
The former Harrogate Town forward has once again been a dangerous player for Premier Division defences this season having scored 16 times.
Handsworth chairman Pete Whitehead: “Lee leaves with my blessing and I’m sure he will have no problem in finding another club.
“So on behalf of the club, I would like to wish Lee and his family all the very best for the future and thank him for his efforts during his time at the club.”
Handsworth’s first game without Whittington is tomorrow when they travel to league leaders Tadcaster Albion.
