Seadogs gunning for top three place

Joint manager Paul Foot will hope Scarborough Athletic can break into the Evo Stik Division One North top three

Joint manager Paul Foot will hope Scarborough Athletic can break into the Evo Stik Division One North top three

Scarborough Athletic could move into the top three of the Evo-Stik Division One North tomorrow, if they beat Clitheroe, and Northwich Victoria drop points on the road at Lancaster.

The Seadogs played Clitheroe just three weeks ago, with Gary Bradshaw and Matty Plummer scoring in a 2-1 win at Queensgate.

But the return fixture tomorrow could prove vital in the Seadogs push for promotion. They currently have a game in hand over Northwich, but a win tomorrow could push them into the top three.

Scarborough will be on a high, after a thumping 11-1 win over Northern League Division Two outfit Thornaby last Tuesday in the North Riding Senior Cup.

Saturday’s fixture kicks off at 3pm at Shawbridge, Clitheroe.
