Craig Elliott has added vast experience to his Shaw Lane Aquaforce ahead of the FA Vase quarter-final tie with Glossop North End on Saturday.
Richard Patterson joins Aquaforce after leaving Ossett Town a few days ago and he arrives at the same time as with central defender David Haggerty, who started the campaign at Matlock Town.
Patterson was Elliott’s captain at Ossett Town last season and has big-match experience in the Vase having being a member of the Staveley Miners Welfare team which reached the semi-finals in 2012.
Elliott said: “They add competition for places and they are both outstanding players.
“They have played in pressure matches and they improve the squad.”
The pair are in the squad to face Glossop, but one player who has left Shaw Lane is George Conway.
The young winger started the season with a bang with a goal in the opening day win at Tadcaster Albion, but since then opportunties have been limited.
Elliott added: “George has been a pleasure to have had around.”
