Two amazing stats hang on over the excitement of Shaw Lane Aquaforce’s FA Vase quarter-final clash with Glossop North End.

Shaw Lane have the most dangerous attack at step five with 91 goals scored in the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division, while Glossop have the meanest defence with just ten conceded in the North West Counties.

Shaw Lane are the home team for the game and Craig Elliott said: “In all honesty, it is the same message as the Flackwell game.

“We have got to the Vase quarter-finals by playing the way we have all season and we will be looking do again tomorrow.

“It is a very difficult test and looking at their record, they (Glossop) have had a very good season.

“They have only lost twice in the league – one of which was against the top of the league which is Runcorn who we beat (in the Vase first round).

“I think they took Northwich, who are a good Evo Stik side, to a replay in the FA Cup.

“They also beat Worksop from our league so it is a difficult task.

“I saw on Twitter that we are the leading goal-scorers at step five and they have the best defence in the country at step five.

“It is the best defence against the best attack which is an amazing stat.”

Richard Patterson and David Haggerty are in line to make their Shaw Lane debuts after joining earlier this week.
