Hall Road Rangers chairman Darren Sunley said he is “fully confident” that floodlights will be in place for next season at their new home.
Hall Road are leaving Dene Park next month and are moving to Haworth Park, the home of Haworth Park Rugby League club.
However, the ground currently does not currently have floodlights so the club has had to give the Toolstation Northern Counties East League assurances that the lights will be in place.
The club face being booted out of the League if the floodlights are not erected.
Mr Sunley told Non League Yorkshire: “We’ve applied for the funding for the floodlights and it should come under ground improvements.
“I’m fully confident for them to be in place for the start of the season.
“I’ve spoken to the league, and we’re hoping for some leniency. They should be up by the end of September, but there’s all sorts of avenues for moving kick-offs to 2 o’clock if this isn’t the case.
“Obviously we’ve had the basics to deal with in getting the ground up to the required level but it will be in place. I’m hopeful everything will go to plan.”
Hall Road have also announced a 2-year shirt sponsorship with local kitchen suppliers Joinery Depot, who became the first local company to sponsor the club since their move to Haworth Park was announced.
Mr Sunley said: “It’s great to get sponsors involved, as we’ve been held back in the past.
“It’s a new start, hopefully Joinery Depot will be the first of many, and it’s great because obviously our kit is yellow and blue and so is their logo.
“They’ve also offered to help with the work at Haworth to help us move forward.
“The park will also be getting renamed before the start of the season with another sponsorship deal already in place, so things are looking forward in that respect.”
And Mr Sunley believes the move will be the catalyst in returning Hall Road to their former success.
He added:“We need to go back to as we were many years ago, that’s why we moved to Haworth.
“Lots of people in Hull haven’t even heard of us or if they have they may not be favourable to us, so of course this is part of a massive project.
“The idea now is to bring it all in house. It’s going to be made into a family club, and I also want to push the first team up the divisions.
“I’m really excited. I think it’s going to be amazing for the club and the start of our new chapter.”
