Adam Clayton signed for Nostell Miners Welfare after their 2-0 win over Albion Sports on Saturday.
The Bradford (Park Avenue) defender adds further experience to Paul Lines’ squad, which looks extremely likely to complete the great escape in the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division.
Clayton could make his debut for the visit of Handsworth Parramore tomorrow night.
The victory completed the double over Albion and moved them two points behind fourth-bottom Liversedge.
Goals either side of half-time enabled Nostell to secure another big set of three points.
A poor goal kick from Albion goalkeeper Aaron Brian went straight to Dale Kelly and the striker went through to score on the stroke of half-time.
More poor defending opened the door for the second goal straight after the interval.
The Albion defence failed to deal the long ball forward and Rob Bordman increased the lead – his eighth goal in as many games.
Albion had chances late-on with Danny Facey, Marcus Harper and Aron Basi going close.
