Harrogate Railway remain on course to record their highest ever league finish following the 0-0 draw with Kendal Town.
Eleventh placed Railway need to better their 12th place finish in the 2006-07 season under Martin Haresign to create history.
That was Railway’s first campaign in the Northern Premier League and it was the season before the North/South split.
Chances were few and far in a game that Harrogate were without suspended duo Matt Heath and Adam Baker.
Railway did have centre-back Lewis Morgan dismissed for a second bookable offence at the start of the second half.
Railway were still on top and Fatlum Ibrahimi hit the crossbar late on.
Harrogate Railway manager Billy Miller:
“You have got to be pleased when you go down to ten men so early in the second half and still have most of the possession and creating the better chances.
“0-0 across the course of 90 minutes against a well-organised Kendall was a great result for us.
“It was interesting because Kendal have scored umpteen goals this season and we have scored 71 times and Lee Ashforth said to me that it had 0-0 written all over it.
“For a neutral, you would have thought this game had goals written all over it.”
