Knaresborough Town’s Toolstation NCEL Division One clash with Winterton Rangers was incredibly abandoned two minutes into added time after a mass brawl broke out.
Referee Robert Woodburn brought the game to an absurd finish after scuffle started involving all 22 players.
Knaresborough manager Brian Davey, whose side were losing 2-1 at the time, described the brawl as “handbags”.
He also said that Woodburn’s decision to abandon the match instead of blowing the final whistle as “ridiculous”.
Davey expects the match to be replayed.
