Malachi Farquharson’s injury-time goal earned Harrogate Railway a 2-2 draw at promotion-chasing Northwich Victoria in the Evo Stik Division One North.
In a first half of few chances, Railway’s Dan Thirkell had a goal ruled out for a foul.
Farquharson put Railway ahead on 55 minutes with a header.
But, Northwich hit back with Abu Sanogo drilling home the equaliser from a Josh Amis flick-on.
Amis then put the Vics in front with a powerful header from Michael Clarke’s cross.
Railway never gave up hope and Farquharson latched onto Adam Baker’s cross to score the dramatic leveller in the dying embers.
Harrogate Railway assistant manager Lee Ashforth:
“We battled away and ended up getting another good result.
“We were 1-0 up and hoping to hold onto it. They had some good attacking options and unfortunately we went behind because they got two goals in quick succession.
“It just shows the character of the squad to keep battling away and score so late in the goal with an equaliser.
“That has been the attitude of the squad all season. It is fantastic. We don’t panic, we keep playing and because of that we have come away from a side that are in the play-offs with a point.”
