Shaw Lane Aquaforce have won the race to sign Frickley Athletic striker Gavin Allott.
Allott, who was out of contract at Frickley, was wanted by a number of clubs, but Aquaforce are the team who have his signature.
Allott joins Gibaltar striker Adam Priestley in committing himself to playing for Aquaforce in the Evo Stik Division One South next season.
“We’ve signed him because he’s a proven goal-scorer at Evo Stik level,” Craig Elliott told Non League Yorkshire.
“To score the amount of goals he has in the last seasons in a struggling team is phenomenal.
“A load of clubs have been after him and I’m delighted to sign him. It is a coup for us.
“He fits into our style of play and I’m really pleased he has chosen us.”
Elliott has also added defender Rhys Meynell to his squad.
Local lad Meynell has played for a number of Non League clubs and he is someone who Elliott has looked at before.
“He’s a Barnsley lad and still lives in Barnsley and that’s something that is important,” Elliott added.
“He’s a played a good standard and at some good clubs like Guiseley and Harrogate Town last season.
“He’s a versatile and that’s a good thing so it was a no-brainer to sign such a quality player.
“We need players who have been there and got the t-shirt.”
Aquaforce have also agreed deals with Danny Frost and Stevie Istead for next season.
Frost came back to the club on deadline day to help the club win promotion, while midfielder Istead signed mid-season from Buxton.
