Mark Greaves is in charge of the brave new era at Eccleshill United.

The former Yorkshire Amateur manager’s appointment was confirmed on Sunday and he is joined by the highly-respected Sean Regan, who takes up the role of head of coaching.

The Toolstation NCEL Division One side are heading in different direction after the partnership with RIASA ended last month.

This meant head coach Gerard Jones also departed and Greaves won the post after a month-long recruitment process.

Greaves has plenty of experience. He spent most of his playing career at the Ammers where he was also captain for a long stint.

He went onto be the manager of Farsley AFC reserves before taking charge of the Ammers in late 2011.

His time at Bracken Edge ended in acrimonious circumstances when he controversially sacked in the following summer.

Since then he has assisted Alan Colquhoun at Nostell Miners Welfare and Liversedge.

His assistant Regan is a highly-rated coach, who has coached at a number of clubs including Ossett Albion, Shaw Lane Aquaforce and Thackley.

He was also the manager of Liversedge during the 2009-10 season – current Tadcaster Albion boss Billy Miller was his assistant during that time.
