Ossett Town have announced that their honorary president Graham Firth has passed away.
Firth was the chairman of the club for 30 years until standing down in 2013 to let James Rogers assume command.
He then took up the position of honorary president.
Mr Rogers said today: “It is with deep regret and sadness that we write to let people know that our honorary President Graham Firth sadly passed away this morning in hospital.
“Many will no doubt be aware that Graham has been unwell for a little while now and he has been in and out of hospital over the last few weeks.
“Graham was Ossett Town through and through doing just about very job for many many years including leading the club for so long and so well as our previous chairman.
“On behalf of the club I would like to pass on our sincere condolences to all of Graham’s family and friends at this very difficult and sad time.”
